Vaishali Zanzad, who got married around five months ago, jumped off the Sitabuldi flyover on Tuesday night. Vaishali, who was learnt to
be on foot, stunned the motorists after she landed on the Wardha road right in the middle of busy traffic near Lokmat square.
Sitabuldi police, which rushed to the site after receiving the information, took the girl to a local private hospital with serious injuries on her legs. Zanzad, who was struggling for life, learnt to have also penned a note in Marathi which police found in her possession. Police, which managed to retrieve a mobile phone number from the injured girl, contacted her family residing at New Sukrawari. She was residing with her mother since last couple of days. Police said that the content of the letter suggested that she was unhappy with her marriage.
