It started off as a tiff between two shop owners, but it ended on late Monday evening with one man murdered and another seriously
injured. What transpired is yet to be determined, but as a result, Javed Abdul Aziz Ansari (26) is dead and Qayyum Mohammed Abdul Bashir and Zahir Mohammed Abdul Bashir are being treated at two different hospitals for injuries inflicted with sharp objects.
Two complaints have been filed at the Sitabuldi police station, but both are giving conflicting statements. In the complaint filed by Javed's brother Naved, Qayyum, Zahir and their brother Siraj had intercepted Javed on the road in front of Regent Talkies and attacked him with sharp objects and killed him.
However, according to Qayyum's statement, Javed and three of his acquaintances, Annu, Abid and Babli, made elaborate plans and then attacked him and Zahir outside their shop. While cases have been registered based on both complaints, further information is under way.
