Over 2,000 students who aspire to get admissions into top colleges in bifocal stream of std XI may be disappointed. On Wednesday, all bifocal seats in open category in top colleges like Shivaji Science, Ambedkar and Dharampeth Science were filled up with all-time high cut-offs.
According to assistant director of education Rajendra Godhne, who is in-charge of std XI admissions, students seemed to be more interested in electronics as compared to computer science and fisheries. The electronics seats in Shivaji Science were closed at a whopping 97.23% in aided category and 94.76% in the unaided category for open candidates.
