ADMISSION CRITERIA: UNDERGRADUATE COURSES
Admissions to BA courses
You must have completed 10+2. It is immaterial whether you offered Science, Commerce, or Arts subjects at the 10+2 level - you can secure admission to BA courses no matter what you studied in your 12th class.

Admissions to B. Sc. Courses
If you are seeking admission to the Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics group, you need to have had these subjects at the 10+2 level. Similarly, if you are seeking admission to Industrial Chemistry or a course involving Computer Science or Statistics, you need to have had mathematics at the 10+2 level.

If you are seeking admission to life science courses (Chemistry/Botany/ Zoology; or a course involving Biochemistry or Biotechnology) mathematics at the 10+2 level is not compulsory.

Generally speaking, you must have scored at least 50% marks at the 10+2 level for admission to any of the courses. However, if you are seeking admission to Biochemistry, you must have scored 55% or above. Similarly, if you want to be admitted to Biotechnology, you should have scored at least 60% marks.

Admissions to B.C.A., B.B.A., B.Com
You need to have passed HSSC with English. Students who have passed 12th from states other than Maharashtra or through CBSE, need to obtain an eligibility and migration certificate from the Nagpur University.

Important Points to Remember While Seeking Admission
If you have done 10+2 from a State Board other than Maharashtra or from Central Board, an Eligibility Certificate from Nagpur University will be required in addition to the other documents. This can be obtained by filling the requisite form and paying Rs. 100 to the University.

If you are from another board, you must also have a migration certificate. If you have had a gap after your 12th class, you must produce a gap certificate (gap certificate is an affidavit stating the duration of the gap and signed by a competent authority).

The original documents necessary at the time of admission are

  • Marksheet of 12th exam.

  • School leaving certificate

  • Character certificate

  • Attempt certificate

  • Migration and Eligibility Certificate (in case you have come from a different board)

  • A gap certificate if required.

Kindly remember to bring a few copies of your recent passport photograph. These are required for various purposes.

ADMISSION CRITERIA: POSTGRADUATE COURSES
Admission to MA English
You may have done BA, B. Sc., or B. Com or any other equivalent course. The only requirement that you have to fulfill is that of having English as a subject at the undergraduate level. Even a Compulsory English paper at the undergraduate level is enough.

Admission to MA Hindi
You may have done BA, B. Sc., or B. Com or any other equivalent course. The only requirement that you have to fulfill is that of having Hindi as a subject at the undergraduate level. Even a Compulsory Hindi paper at the undergraduate level is enough.

Admission to M.A. Psychology
You must be a graduate from Nagpur University or any other University with Psychology as one of the optional subject. Or holding an M.Ed. degree of this or any other University. Or a candidate who has passed the M.A. examination in the faculty of Arts from Nagpur University in specific subjects.

Admission to MA Sociology
Remember that the medium of instruction here is Hindi/Marathi and not English. You must be a graduate to take admission.

Admission to M.Com.
You must be a commerce/Science graduate. A score of 50% and above is desirable.

Admission to M.C.M. and P.G.D.C.C.A..
You must be a graduate. A score of 50% and above is desirable.

Admission to MBA
You must be a graduate in any of the three faculties. In addition to the above, you must have had a job experience of at least 2 years. A score of 50% or above is a must.

Admission to M. Sc. Chemistry
You must have done graduation with chemistry as a subject. A score of 55% and above is desirable.

Admission to M. Sc. Biotechnology
You must have done graduation with chemistry as a subject. What other subjects you had at the undergraduate level is immaterial. A score of above 60% is a must. The admission is on the basis of academic performance at the undergraduate level and on the basis of interview performance. Medium of instruction at the undergraduate level must have been English.

Admission to M. Sc. Botany
You must have passed B.Sc. Examination with Botany as one of the subject are eligible for seeking admission to Post Graduate course in Botany. Right of admission is reserved.
