Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) leader Raj Thackeray has returned to his original tirade launching a vitriolic attack on north Indians
on Tuesday night. This time around, however, his targets are MLAs. Citing Congress MP Sanjay Nirupam's recent demand for 35 seats for north Indian candidates on Congress tickets in Mumbai, Thane, Pune and Nagpur, Thackeray said:
"If any leader makes such irresponsible statements, the MNS will not let them walk on the streets of Mumbai.'' This was his first public meeting at Damodar Hall in Parel. He said Nirupam's demand was yet another move on the part of north Indians to gain a foothold into Maharashtra politics.
