Jet strike: Services normal in city

Services of Jet Lite from the Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport here were normal and operated as per schedule despite the
strike by pilots of the airline. Luckily for passengers to and from Nagpur, the flights to this city were not part of the over 180 flights cancelled on Wednesday.

A senior Jet airways official here informed that since Tuesday both morning and evening flights of Jet Lite on the Mumbai route were normal and operated as per schedule. On Wednesday too flights operated as per their normal schedule with above 80% load factor, he added. Jet Lite operates flights on Mumbai-Nagpur-Mumbai sector in the morning and evening schedule.


Notices to seven hotels

NAGPUR: The health department of Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) on Wednesday issued notices to seven restaurants for violating Prevention of Food Adulteration Act.

The health officials inspected these eateries and found that the conditions were not up to the mark. The hotels which were issued notices include Vrindavan Restaurant, Chafekar Dugdha Mandir and Vishranti Gruha, all in Sitabuldi, Shivaji Bhojnalaya, Bharat Hindu Bar, Shree Swami Restaurant, Gandhibagh and Yuvraj Bhojanalaya, Old Bhandara Road. The civic body recently cracked the whip on many hotels which failed to maintain the desired levels of standard.
