The admission procedures of Science and Commerce for standard XI was closed on Wednesday. In all, the education department has received as many as 17,315 forms for the science stream, while 14,347 for commerce course, said ad-ministrative officer (deputy director education department) Suresh Gulhane.
Gulhane claimed that the admission procedure will be completed by July 30 and added that the next session will commence from August 1.
He said presently the department is scrutinizing the over 7,600 forms of bifocal courses and will display the merit list on July 4. The department has set July 4 and 5 for raising any objection to the merit list. Similarly, the final merit list of bifocal courses will be out by July 7 and admission procedure to the courses will begin from July 8 to July 17, informed the administrative officer. For science stream in English medium, the department has received over 16,000 applications. As many as 433 students had submitted their applications for Urdu medium, he added.
Among 14,347 forms Commerce stream, the department has recieved over 6,300 application forms for English medium, 5,000 for Marathi, over 2,600 for Hindi mediums, respectively. Over 252 students have also submitted their forms for Urdu medium, he informed. The college wise allotment lists will be released on July 23 and admission procedure will be commenced between July 24 and July 29.
