165 positive cases of sine flu were reported on Saturday

165 positive cases of sine flu were reported on Saturday while two persons in Bangalore died of the virus. The highest number of cases -97 -- were reported from Maharashtra alone, none with any travel history, indicating that the virus in mainly human-to-human transmission.

So far 1555 persons have tested positive for H1N1 out of which 689 have been discharged.

13 districts of Maharashtra are under the grip of the virus. Pune (69),Solapur (6),Nanded (5), Nasik (5), Latur (5), Ratnagiri (2), Osmanabad (1), Nagpur (1), Dhule (1), Kolhapur (1), Yavatmal (1) were the cities in Maharashtra where fresh cases were reported on Saturday. The other cities were: Delhi (15), Bangalore (8), Mangalore (4), Kolkata (4),Shillong (4), Mizoram (2), Ahmedabad (1),Goa (1) , Hyderabad (1), Patna (1) , Noida (1), Chandigarh (1) , Jaipur (1), Gurgaon (2), Faridabad (1), Ernakulam (3), Calicut (3), Thrissur (2), Mallapuram(Kerala) (1), Trivandrum (4) and Coimbatore (4), Chennai (1) and Pondicherry (3).

All cases reported from Delhi, Bangalore, Mangalore, Kolkata, Shillong, Mizoram, Goa, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Faridabadand Ahmedabadtoo were indigenous cases with no known overseas travel history.
